Gamini Engineering Works (Private) Limited, a pioneer in the field of Plantation Machinery was established in 1977 in Ambatale, Sri Lanka. The company comprises of a fully fledged Foundry Division, a Tea Machinery Division and a Rubber Machinery Division, all of which are equipped with a range of Production Machinery such as Boring, Milling, Hobbing, Slotting, Planning, Surface Grinding, Gear Cutting, Centre Lathe, Turret Lathe, Drilling, Cutting, Bending & Rolling.

The founder Mr. K D Gunasekera, adhered to just two rules in managing the organization; Commitment to Quality & Customer Satisfaction which is still followed through today.

"GAMINI” adopts an end-to-end process in Manufacturing Machinery which commences from a preliminary concept of casting, followed by machining and final assembly which is supplemented by a 100% in-house test/run program.

“GAMINI” also undertakes orders for Custom Design Machinery that includes the designing and manufacturing of machinery as per customer requirement.

“GAMINI” established its business in the manufacturing of Brick & Tile as well as Saw Milling Machinery during the late 70’s and diversified into manufacturing and servicing of Rubber Processing Machinery in the mid 80’s. The company further diversified into the manufacturing of Tea Machinery in the late 90's. After the dawn of the millennium, "GAMINI" integrated its basic mechanical engineering expertise with advanced electrical engineering solutions and branched out into factory process automations specializing in tea factories. “GAMINI” became a household name in the Plantation Sector, a position it still maintains to date as a result of its unwavering commitment to quality coupled with an unmatched after sales service.

“GAMINI” has also been of service to numerous customers in diverse fields that include Marine Engineering, Confectionery, Ceramic, Printing, Leather, Corrugated, Coir & Oil Expelling.
